The Mormon church’s family history research center is launching a new social media campaign encouraging young members of their church to share their grandmother’s best story.

The #MeetMyGrandma campaign is the latest effort to push young Mormons to capture the stories from their older family members before they die. The program is being run by FamilySearch, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ nonprofit organization.

They are hoping to log 10,000 stories in 10 days starting on Sept. 20. The focus on genealogy by Mormons is rooted in their belief that families should be the focal point of their lives, and that family relationships continue into eternity.
