Mediterranean health food restaurant Aubergine and Company takes pride in its nutrient-high recipes. The restaurant focuses on whole foods and healthy living and has accumulated a flurry of reviews since its 2011 grand opening. All critics agreed on one thing: this restaurant is truly one of a kind.

Aubergine and Company is located at 1365 S. State Street in Orem, next door to Sprouts. It is open Monday–Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday–Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. The restaurant also offers free WiFi, making it a great study spot for students.

Aubergine and Company foods and drinks range in price from $10 to $15, depending on the dish and drink size.

Most popular:

Aubergine’s most popular dishes are its Mediterranean sandwiches, chopped salads, acai bowls and smoothies. All of the dishes are made from scratch and contain no dairy or gluten.

Interesting fact:

Aubergine and Company is a family-owned restaurant. The Zanatta family is originally from Brazil, but when Elcio, the owner and father, read Steven Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People,” he was led to the LDS Church and then sent his kids to school at BYU. Once they visited, they fell in love with the area and decided to open a restaurant that would share their healthy lifestyle with those in the community.

“Health is important, but energy is most important,” Zanatta said. “It’s important to strive for the balance. Healthy fast food is what we do.”

When trying Aubergine and Company for the first time, take the advice of the employees. They are passionate about healthy foods and eat most of their meals there.
