Discovery Gateway’s Bumble Bee Bash comes back for 5th year

The Children’s Museum of Utah will host its fifth annual Bumble Bee Bash festival at Discovery Gateway in Salt Lake City on June 21.

The festival, which is the largest children’s event to come to the downtown area, will feature dozens of activities for kids. Entertainment to be featured in The Gateway courtyard and throughout the museum include groups from musicgarage.org, ADC Irish Dancers, Utah Puppet Players, Zumba Kids Jr., and the Wasatch Music Coaching Academy. The evening will end with a play presented by Youthstage Students from Utah Children’s Theater.

Tickets are available for $5 to Discovery Gateway members and $10 for those without membership. Each family will receive free all-day parking validation as well as a grab bag of promotional items and discounts to Gateway retailers. All sales proceeds will be donated to Discovery Gateway’s educational programs and exhibits.

Guests attending will also be entered into a drawing to win prizes valued between $300 and $1000.

The event is scheduled for June 21 starting at 11a.m. and will run until 7p.m. Discovery Gateway is located in the Gateway Mall at 444 W, 100 South, Salt Lake City.
