Timeline of ‘groping’ instances at BYU this year

BYU campus is abuzz with news about the serial “groper,” a man suspected of inappropriately touching girls on and around campus.

According to BYU Police, there have been 15 incidents since Jan. 23, seven of which have happened in the last week. The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s with a medium build. Some descriptions of the man say he has blond hair and an accent.

Over the last few days more victims have come forward and reported past attacks.

Here is a chronological list of all the incidents according to the BYU Police Blotter:

Jan. 23 — An individual reported being touched at Helaman Halls.

Jan. 24  Another incident of inappropriate touching was reported to have occurred at the Creamery on Ninth.

Feb. 19  An individual was reportedly inappropriately touched near the Bell Tower.

March 3 An individual reported being inappropriately touched in the JKB.

March 15 An incident of inappropriate touching in Heritage Halls was reported.

March 18 A man entered an apartment in Wyview and sexually assaulted one of the tenants.

March 19 Another individual reported being inappropriately touched in Heritage Halls.

March 19 An individual reported an incident that occurred on March 6. The victim was reportedly inappropriately touched in the HFAC.

March 19 An individual was inappropriately touched in Lot 49 near the stadium.

March 19 Another incident of inappropriate touching occurred on East Campus Drive.

March 19 An individual reported an incident of inappropriate touching that occurred near the Monte L. Bean Museum on January 1.

March 20 An individual reported being grabbed at Heritage Hall by a passing jogger.

March 20 Another individual reported being grabbed by a jogger on the west pedestrian overpass on North Campus Drive on Feb. 20.

March 20 A victim was walking in Wymount Terrace on March 11 and was grabbed by a jogger.

March 20 Another occurrence was reported to have occurred at 900 East and Campus Drive, but the report is not complete.

March 21 — At 1:30 a.m. police arrested Cyr Delinos Narcisse in connection to the March 18 break-in and assault at a Wyview apartment. They do not believe Narcisse to be connected with the other 14 incidents.
