BYU Police are broadly distributing the following announcement:

Around 3 a.m., March 18, 2014, a white male about 5’7″ entered a women’s apartment at Wyview. When one of the residents confronted him, he grabbed her and began sexually fondling her. When the woman screamed and her friend entered the living room, the suspect left.

The man is said to be clean-shaven, of medium build and speaks with an accent. He was wearing all black clothing, including a black jacket with a hood.

University Police ask that all members of the campus community be cautious and aware of any suspicious activity, particularly as the university has recently received other reports of groping incidents occurring on and around campus. More information on these reports is posted on the University Police website: police.byu.edu/content/police-blotter-0.

If anyone has any information about the incident that occurred at Wyview this morning or the other reported incidents, please contact University Police at 422-2222.
