Sweeto Burrito started the Provo Food Truck Roundup about a month and a half ago to provide a way for people to find all of their favorite food trucks in one place.
“We invited other trucks to come and whoever wanted to come check out this awesome concept of food trucks,” said Chelsea Escobar, an employee at Sweeto Burrito.
Every Thursday night local food trucks gather in the parking lot at the Startup Building. Customers can experience a variety of foods from burritos to pizza.
“It’s nice to have one central location once a week,” said Mike Price, a customer at last week’s event. “It’s pretty cool.”
Price said he heard about the food truck roundup from some random person. Price looked up the location and decided to go.
Evelyn Nichols stopped to get a vegetarian burrito at Sweeto Burrito. She found out about it just driving by the event.
She said she would recommend it to a friend.
At last week’s event Sweeto Burrito, Corndog Commander, Pizza Fiore and Grill Sergeant attended. Other weeks have included Waffle Love and Pico Norte Tacos.
There is also indoor seating with musical entertainment to occupy people as they eat their food. Last week’s musical guest was Sweetwater Crossing, a local country band.
Escobar said the roundups have been pretty successful and that they will continue to do them every week.
She said it is great to get to know the other food trucks in the area.
