The Richfield Reaper is telling its readers to let Sevier County representatives know what is important this Legislative session. The Reaper’s editorial says:
“The 2014 general session of the Utah Legislature is under way, and with it the state is dealing with some significant issues. Utah earned a place in the national spotlight during last year’s federal shutdown by funding national parks to preserve the tourism industry that depends on them. It was an example of how state government can have a very real effect on people’s lives. Sales tax, public education funding and transportation infrastructure are issues controlled by the Utah Legislature. The Legislature also controls what the law defines as criminal and what is not in many cases.”
