The Marriott Center has the ability to hold 20,900 fans. The large audience is something the Cougar basketball team may be accustomed to, but their Dec. 3 opponent isn’t.

The last time North Texas competed against BYU was more than two decades ago. North Texas lost to BYU both times it played the Cougars, but playing in the Marriott Center still gives the team satisfaction. To this day, the games North Texas played in the Marriott Center rank as the first and fifth largest crowds a Mean Green team has seen in its basketball history.

The Cougars will be coming off three straight neutral site games, with their most recent game played at the EnergySolutions Arena when they beat Utah State 85-74. The Cougars now stand 6-2 this season, including losses against No. 21 Iowa State and No. 12 Wichita State.

The game against North Texas will be televised live on BYUtv and broadcast live on the Cougar IMG Sports Network on KSL Newsradio 102.7 FM and 1160 AM.
