Students will put their childhood video game skills to the test this Wednesday night from 4 to 7 p.m. at a Nintendo Night at The Wall.
There will be three contests — Super Smash Brothers, Mario Kart and Just Dance. Students will compete for free Jamba Juice gift cards, DVD rentals from the bookstore and the Nintendo champion title among the BYU community.
But students will have to butt heads with the the Utah State champion of Super Smash Brothers to win that title.
To reserve a spot, students can contact the Student Activities Board at . Otherwise, they are welcome to sign up the day of the event at The Wall. Spots will be given out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
“If you come earlier, it will be to your benefit to reserve your spot,” said Steven Fortney, event planner for the Student Activities Board. “We had a really great turnout at our Nintendo Night in June. We’ve already had a lot more people sign up in advance, and we expect a really large group.”
Fortney promised students that they will have a good time by attending.
“It’s a really fun time,” Fortney said. “Everyone who comes always leaves saying that they had a great time playing games and interacting with other students.”
