Owner Anna K. Findlay and Lori Greenman sell more then just drinks at Sodalicious, Provo’s new soda shop for the on-the-go soda connoisseur.

A new soda shop, Sodalicious, opened Friday, Oct. 18, in Provo, offering countless drink concoctions and pastries for fast-paced people needing a quick pick-me-up.

“This is a great place to get some sweets, as well as your caffeine fix,” said Kevin Avernig, co-owner of Sodalicious. “We have all kinds of soda on tap with tons of flavors and combinations.”

The shop provides more than 20 different types of sodas but puts a twist on them. More than 20 different flavors can be added to the drink, as well as sugar-free options and fruit purees. Some favorites include dirty Diet Coke, Mango Mountain Dew, and Cherry Chocolate Dr. Pepper.

“The dirty Diet Coke is our most popular drink,” Avernig said. “It’s something you can have at any hour of the day, and we know people around here love their Diet Coke.”

Sodalicious offers more than 20 different soda flavors and sweets from Cravings Bakery in St. George.

For many BYU students, energy drinks can be used as a late-night study tool, but some think drinks like Rockstar, Red Bull and Monster have a bad taste. Sodalicious solves this problem by adding an assortment of flavors to the drinks to make them more appealing.

“I don’t really like energy drinks, but sometimes I need them to survive midterms,” said Kellie Willman, a BYU humanities student. “I would actually enjoy them if they added different flavors to make it taste better.”

Sodalicious also offers Italian sodas and more than 10 types of hot chocolate, but what makes it truly unique is its “Hot Lava,” a drink the owners brought in from their trip to Italy. The drink is much thicker than your average hot chocolate and also comes in a variety of flavors.

“We spent a few months at the beginning of the year in Italy,” said Annie Avernig, co-owner of Sodalicious. “We found this stuff in Sicily, and it’s to die for.”

Treats are also provided by Cravings Bakery from St. George. The drive-thru window makes it easy to get a snack or drink in just a minute or two.

“Usually 7-Eleven is my go-to place for Diet Dr. Pepper runs,” Willman said. “But getting it with all the flavors without getting out of the car makes it that much easier.”
