Dance Assembly Devotional brings top performing groups to the Marriott Center, Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 11:00 a.m.

Talented dancers from Ballroom Dance Company, Contemporary Dance Theatre, International Folk Dance Ensemble, Living Legends and Theatre Ballet will present some of their new works.

Emily Kleinkoft, a senior in dance major from Mesa, Ariz., says International Folk Dance Ensemble will bring a Slovakian suit to the devotional this year and she hopes this assembly can attract more people to dancing.

“The purposes are to showcase all different dance teams and get people excited,” Kleinkoft said. “And we always want to expand the dance program and get people to dance classes. Coming to this dance event, people can see really nice and cool ballroom or folk dances. It also shows what we work on because a lot of people don’t know about the dance programs here at BYU.”

Different from other devotionals, Dance Assembly will not be broadcasted.

“Most people have an hour free so a lot of them are gonna go to it,” Kleinkoft said. “It’s kinda like Spectacular type of shows, once you are there you can actually see it.”
