Founder Sam Daley-Harris created the company RESULTS, which is a company that is dedicated “to (creating) the public and political will to end poverty by empowering individuals to exercise their personal and political power for change.” (http://www.results.org)

Harris will be speaking to BYU students on Nov. 7, 2013, with a 6:30 p.m. reception followed by the presentation at 7 p.m. Registration is free but seats are limited. Those who register before Nov. 4 will be placed in a drawing for a chance to have dinner with Harris; four students will be selected.

Allyson Robison, a representative of the Ballard Center said, “RESULTS uses its citizen lobbying in efforts to end certain social issues like poverty, hunger. … This will highlight an impactful leader in addressing social issues, and will give more students (the) opportunity to be influenced by him.”

Robison quoted Ashoka who wrote, “In 2010, Ashoka founder Bill Drayton wrote, ‘Sam Daley-Harris is one of the certified great social entrepreneurs of the last decades. After building RESULTS, he is the person, more than anyone else, who has brought microcredit into focus across the world and precipitated action.’”
