Elder David S. Baxter of the First Quorum of the Seventy in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints wrote a book, “Peace, Be Still,” about finding peace in turbulent times.

“There are many who feel there is no end to the storms of their lives, and for whom personal peace seems a far away dream,” Elder Baxter said in a prepared statement on Oct. 8. “For those who ache for personal peace, this book provides a way.”

“Peace, Be Still” is aimed at readers who feel anxiousness, stress, uncertainty and any other pressures, said Elder Baxter in a statement. He said the book can help readers achieve prevailing peace.

“Disrupters of such peace are mentioned, but the emphasis is on the solution, not the cause,” Elder Baxter has said.

Elder Baxter’s perspective on finding peace comes after a battle with a brain tumor, job loss and possible financial ruin. “Peace, Be Still” is now available at Deseret Book, Amazon.com, BooksAndThing.com and BarnesAndNoble.com.
