High scoring affairs

The Cougars earned their 39th win in a row in which they’ve scored at least 30 points.

Tackling machines

Linebacker Uani Unga and cornerback Robertson Daniel tallied career highs in tackles. Unga participated in 16 total tackles, and Daniel took part in ten.

Forcing turnovers

The Cougars forced three turnovers against the Aggies — Van Noy’s interception and fumbles recovered by Uani Unga and Craig Bills.

Hoffman’s streak continues

Senior receiver Cody Hoffman caught three passes for 41 yards. He has now caught a pass in 35 straight appearances.

Hill to Matthews

Taysom Hill had only thrown for one touchdown pass in 2013 prior to the contest with Utah State. The sophomore quarterback hooked up with Mitch Matthews for three touchdowns against the Aggies. Matthews finished with five catches for 112 yards.

Winning record

The Cougars improved to 3–2 with the win, the first time the team moved above .500 this season. The Cougars have seven remaining games to earn three wins for bowl eligibility.
