The BYU Cougar Hockey team lost to Utah State 5 to 0 in its second home game of the season Saturday, getting shut out for the first time this season.
The Cougars turned in their best defensive effort so far this year, but the Aggies eventually pulled away, demonstrating why they are known as one of the best emerging hockey programs in the nation.
'They’ve been the perennial power house for quite some time in Utah,' said Tanner Bilingsley, one of the Cougar captains.
The Cougars' next game is a rematch on the road against the University of Utah Sept. 27 at 7 p.m.
