The College Republicans of Utah will host a political convention and concert at the UCCU Center located on UVU’s campus at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 19.

The convention will feature Utah State Sen. Mike Lee and former congressional candidate Mia Love as keynote speakers.

The speakers will most likely speak on ways for college students to become more involved in politics, said BYU College Republicans Club vice-president-of-editing Bryan Pistorius.

“We are really trying to get students involved and let them know the things that go on in politics is applicable for college students,” Pistorius said.

The concert will include the band Red Yeti as an opening act with The Strike as the main performer.

BYU College Republicans Club has a booth set up on the west side of the Wilkinson Student Center, where they are passing out free tickets to the event. Tickets at the door will cost $10.
