Fatal Auto-Pedestrian Collision

Aug. 8 Provo City Police Department responded to a fatal traffic accident involving an 18-month old baby girl Thursday just after 8 p.m. The father of the child called police and told them he had accidentally ran her over with his vehicle. The man had a trailer full of cement and dirt attached to his vehicle and was driving forward when the trailer ran the child over. The Provo Police Traffic Investigation Team is continuing to investigate the incident.

Missing Vehicle

Aug. 5 An individual reported their vehicle stolen from Lot 23 on campus. The person later remembered they had parked somewhere else.

Theft

Aug. 5 An individual reported their iPad was stolen from the backseat of their vehicle sometime prior to 2 p.m. An investigation is ongoing.

August 8 A piano was reported missing from Helaman Halls just after 8 a.m. The piano was returned just after 4 p.m.

Disorderly Conduct

August 6 A Harold B. Lee Library patron refused to comply with library rules and became verbally hostile just after 6:30 p.m.

August 7 An individual reported inappropriate use of the facilities at Helaman Halls just after 8 a.m. The area was closed for cleanup, and police are continuing to investigate.

August 8 Inappropriate items were found on the grounds of Helaman Halls. Custodial officers were contacted to clean up the affected area.
