BYU men’s golf will travel to Pullman, Wash. to play in the regional tournament on May 16-18. The tournament includes 14 teams and will be hosted at the Palouse Ridge Golf Club. There will be five other tournaments occurring at the same time, and the low five teams from each regional will advance to compete in the finals at The Capital City Club, Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Ga.

BYU has excelled as of late, finishing seven straight tournaments in the top three. Throughout the season, the Cougars have received 10 top-five finishes out of the 12 tournaments they have played in.

“With the win at the Cougar [Classic], hopefully we’re just full of confidence and we go up there and make a lot of putts,” BYU head coach Bruce Brockbank said in a recent news release. “If we do that we’ll have some success, but it is a shootout. Every year there are so many great teams around the country. You have 54 holes and you have to figure out how to get one of those spots.”

81 teams total are scheduled to compete in the six regionals, and 30 of those teams will advance to the finals on May 28-June 2.
