BYU to play USD Thursday thru Saturday

The BYU baseball team (9-7) travels to California to play against the University of San Diego (11-6) in a three-game series on Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

The Cougars are coming off of last week's upset victories against UC Irvine and are looking to continue that pattern against the Toreros.

“We want to take the same approach of concentrating on the things we can control (like) catching, throwing strikes and working to keep ourselves in games to give us a chance,” coach Mike Littlewood said.

Littlewood's approach has helped the team's defense with BYU ranking in the top 10 teams for most double plays.

BYU will play USD on Thursday and Friday at 6 p.m. PDT. Saturday's game will be at 1 p.m. All games will be broadcast via KOVO Radio 960 AM.

The Cougars will make a stop in Las Vegas for a non-conference game against UNLV on Monday before heading back to Provo for a four-game series against the University of Kansas.

Monday's game will be held in Las Vegas at 3:05 p.m. PDT.
