BYU men’s basketball hits the road for a game against Santa Clara to take on the Broncos as they try to remain undefeated in conference play.

The Cougars have a 13-4 overall record and 3-0 record in the WCC while the Broncos are now 12-5 overall and 1-2 in the WCC.

After coming off a comeback win against Pepperdine Thursday night, where BYU was able to hold Pepperdine to only 16 points in the second half, the Cougars will try to get off to a better start in the first half. They will not be holding a morning shoot-around on Saturday.

“It’s a quick turn around,” Coach Dave Rose said. “Forty minutes of playing consistent basketball is the only way we’re going to get this done.”

BYU will have to keep Santa Clara senior guard Kevin Foster, who has been averaging 19.2 points and 4.6 assists per game, in check.

“He is one of the best offensive scoring guards, probably in the country,” Rose said.

Tyler Haws, Brandon Davies and Matt Carlino, all who scored in double-digits against Pepperdine, will try and continue to keep their team in the winning column. The Broncos will come out looking to give the Cougars their first loss in league play. The Broncos may have extra motivation after losing two in a row as well as having an opportunity to end the Cougars six-game win streak.

BYU will take on Santa Clara at 2:30 p.m. MST at the Leavey Center. There is a live broadcast on Root Sports TWC, or can be heard on KSL radio.
