My highlight from the cross country team this season was when the men’s cross country won their first meet of the season at the Utah State University Invitational. It was epic because it was at that meet that the team picked up the pace for the remainder of the season and went on to finishing eighth in the NCAA Division I poll.
I also enjoyed being at BYU’s own cross country meet in Orem because I was able to go to that meet and watch and interview the coaches and players after the race in person. It was an incredible experience to have had the opportunities to be on the field and feel the crowd get involved during the race and it was the only meet that I was able to attend during the season which meant something special to me as a student reporter.
