Halloween cruise to offer spooktacular fun

CLAS Ropes Course is offering an aquatic alternative to traditional hayrides this month.

For the past 13 years CLAS has operated a Halloween cruise on the Provo River, attracting friends and families looking for nighttime entertainment.

The cruise is not meant to be frightful. There are no chainsaws. No blood. No zombies.

There are jack-o-lanterns, songs led by the captain and a pirate bringing candy to passengers. CLAS seeks to create a community-centered Halloween experience both children and adults can enjoy. The ride runs for 25 minutes, and it is recommended that passengers bring blankets.

“The cruise is for everyone and their friends,” Abe O'Connor, facilitator at CLAS, said. “The more the merrier. It is a clean, fun Halloween experience.”

Cruises run every 30 minutes, from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Fridays and Saturdays the cruises continue until 10 p.m. Admission is $8.
