DENVER– University of Denver students gathered to watch as Denver Mayor and entertainer Will.i.am vouched to re-elected President Barack Obama near campus hours before tonight’s presidential debate.

With rally signs and bright yellow “Forward” shirts, Obama supporters chanted “Four more years! Four more years!”

“I expect our president to get up and say everything that the Republicans don’t want him to say,” Mayor Micheal Hancock said. “Our president shows true leadership and Republicans don’t want him to talk about it.”

Will.i.am then showed his support by rallying students.

“We need to be devoted,” Will.i.am said. “We have to break the cycle.”

Will.i.am then led a march of students to welcome the president to the Ritchie Center. The debate begins at 7 p.m.
