Colt and Patrice Sampson had grown tired of living under their parent’s roof and didn’t leave much to chance when it came to Utah’s Amazing Home Race.

“We’ve been saving up for a home for quite a while now, and we actually had to bunk at the parent’s house for the last month or so; this will help us get out faster than expected.” Colt said.

The Sampsons ran through the course a few times the days leading up to the race to make sure that they knew the quickest route. A borrowed bright yellow Corvette was another piece to the puzzle that helped the Sampsons cruise to victory.

34 teams competed in the race. Each team had two members on it; one driver and one navigator. Each team was required to visit nine different destinations and complete different tasks at each of them.

“We are thankful to all of the teams for coming out and participating in the race,” said Bruce Tucker, owner and principal broker at Prudential Utah Elite Real Estate. “This was a great opportunity to help a lucky winner get into a new home. We are fortunate to have been able to put on this event and we are grateful for all of the people who made it possible.”

Utah’s Amazing Home Race is an event that is put on by Prudential Utah Elite Real Estate, First Colony Mortgage, Vivint, Flagship Homes, Edge Homes, SUNROC Building Materials, Richmond American Homes, Utah Lifestyle Homes and Fit Marketing.
