Institute of International Education (IIE) Scholarship Presentation Thursday, March 29, 6:30-7:30 p.m., 3380 WSC

Lee Rivers, Assistant Manager of Outreach & Special Projects for the Institute of International Education (IIE), will be visiting BYU to speak on the various study abroad scholarships administered by the IIE: Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship, Critical Language Scholarship, Fulbright Fellowship, and theNational Security Education Program Boren Awards forundergraduates and graduates.  Mr. Rivers will give first-hand information on what kinds of students the IIE looks for and how to become a competitive scholarship candidate. Upcoming Scholarships and Fellowships

Institute of Humane Studies Summer Seminars:The IHS sponsors 12 week-long seminars on libertarian tradition at college campuses throughout the country. Deadline: March 31.

Think Swiss:ThinkSwiss offers 15 scholarships for a research stay in Switzerland. The scholarship is open to students of all fields.Deadline: March 31.

Phi Kappa Phi Study Abroad Grant:$1,000 grants for undergraduate study abroad. Deadline: April 1.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Merit Scholarship: Offers $750-$2,500 to undergraduate and graduate students who are excelling academically. Deadline: April 15.

DAAD: German Studies Research Grant (DAAD): The DAAD offers the opportunity for undergraduates and graduates to study abroad in Germany. At least two years of college German, or the equivalent,are required. Deadline: May 1.

Mitchell Scholarship: The Mitchell Scholarship funds graduate study or a second bachelor degree at any university in Ireland or Northern Ireland.  BYU Deadline: July 1.

Marshall Scholarship:The Marshall Scholarship funds graduate study or a second bachelor degree at any university in the United Kingdom. Deadline: July 1.

Rhodes Scholarship:The Rhodes Scholarship funds two years of graduate study at the University of Oxford.  Deadline: July 1.
