Investigators with the Provo Police Department have received several tips regarding the sexual assault on the Provo River trail. One of those tips included a description of a man who was seen in the area a short time before the attack. That description matched the description given by the victim. A composite sketch was done by a police artist, with the help of the citizen who saw him. The sketch depicts a person of interest in this case.

This man was further described as:
• Caucasian with olive skin tone
• Early to mid-twenties
• “Baby face smooth” (meaning no facial hair)
• 5’10” to 5’11”
• Boxer-type athletic build, muscular
• Dark gray fleece gloves
• Black hoody pullover (light material)
• Dark gray baggy sweat bottoms with white drawstring
