Letter: Inspirational start

66

Last semester I was disappointed when not a single one of my classes started with a prayer. I’ve been at BYU for many years now and was sad to see that the higher the class number seemed to be, the less likely it was to begin with prayer. I was grateful this semester to discover that every single class I’m in, regardless of sometimes very earthly subject matter, begins with a prayer or a spiritual thought. How little I once thought of taking the first 50 seconds of class to pray but what a tremendous difference it makes. Professors, please continue to guide your classes with divine petitions. It makes a world, maybe even an eternity, of difference. I  respect you for teaching me, but I will love you for praying for me.
