Saints at War Conference

Saints at War Veterans Day Conference runs from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the BYU Conference Center. The $35 registration fee includes lunch and entertainment. Information available at ce.byu.edu/cw/saintsatwar/.

Smith Fieldhouse

Salute to Servicemen, Women and Veterans. Coach Bronco Mendenhall will speak as well as Chad Lewis, who will speak on his “Wounded Warriors” experiences. Begins at 7 P.M. in the Smith Fieldhouse.

Wilkinson Student Center Memorial Lounge

Wreath-laying ceremony inside the Memorial Lounge on the east side of the Wilkinson Student Center at 9 a.m.

Brigham Square

Air Force and Army cadets will march to Brigham Square at 9:30 a.m. where President Cecil O. Samuelson will speak. Gen. James Andrus, a retired three-star general, will then speak and will be presented the Patriot’s Award.

Timpview High School

Three veterans will speak at Timpview High School. The keynote speaker will be Major General John Matthews, the first principal of Timpview High School and former military adviser to the governor of Utah.  Timpview High School’s band will play. There will be a luncheon for veterans and their immediate family following the program. From 10 to 11 a.m. 3570 Timpview Drive, Provo

Orem Cemetery

A Veterans Day program will be held at Orem City Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday. The program will include a 21-gun salute, a display of historic military vehicles, patriotic music, and a flag ceremony.

Outback Steakhouses

Outback Steakhouses are honoring veterans with a free Bloomin’ Onion and Coca-Cola beverage all day.

Spanish Fork

The Nebo Philharmonic Orchestra and Oquirrh Mountain Orchestra will perform patriotic numbers in honor of veterans. The event is free. Friday 7 p.m. and Saturday 2 p.m. Spanish Fork National Guard Armory Assembly Hall, 2801 N. Main Street, Spanish Fork.
