Jimmer Fredette is teaming up with current Utah Jazz players to play in the Pro Players Charity Classic on Nov. 7 in Salt Lake City.

The game will have a team of Utah Jazz players against a team of other NBA stars.

Utah Jazz players who are participating in the event include Al Jefferson, Devin Harris, Paul Millsap, Derrick Favors, Jeremy Evans, Earl Watson and draft picks Enes Kanter and Alec Burks.

The other team will be composed of Jimmer Fredette, Chauncey Billups, Stephen Curry, Corey Maggette, Wesley Mathews and Anthony Tolliver.

Larry Fox, spokesman for Pro Player Tours, thinks it is exciting for Jazz fans to see the new players.

“Enes Kanter was the third pick and Alec Burks was 12th pick,” Fox said. “It’s the first time for fans to see the guys they drafted and to see their talent.”

Fox also said this game was planned for NBA players to show fans how much they love basketball.

This is the first game where Fredette will play against current NBA stars, which event organizers hope will get people more excited to attend.

“This will be Jimmer’s first game against actual NBA stars,” Fox said. “How could you play in Salt Lake without Jimmer? We hope people who love Jimmer will come out and watch the game.”

Fredette and the other NBA players agreed to do this game for the community and fans of the NBA.

“The players who are participating in this game want to give back to the community,” Fox said. “Everyone we have reached out to is interested because they want to show the fans they really do care about playing basketball and not paychecks.”

The event will take place at the Salt Lake Community College Lifetime Activities Center, which organizers believe will offer fans an intimate experience.

“We chose to have the event at Salt Lake Community College because it provides an intimate environment,” Fox said. “It’s a small arena and you feel right on top of the action.”

Organizers also hope the fans have an experience where they can interact with players.

“There will be mingling with the players before and after the game,” Fox said. “Fans are going to have direct access to their favorite players which doesn’t happen at normal NBA games.”

Fox hopes both the fans and the players have a good time at the event.

“We just want to throw a great event,” Fox said. “The players should have fun playing and the fans will enjoy seeing the Jazz and Jimmer play.”

The game will tip-off  at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at all Smith’s Tix outlets.
