Elder Kazuhiko Yamashita taught that missionaries are treasures of the Lord’s church.
He showed his gratitude to missionaries throughout his talk.
“I would like to express my sincere love, respect and feeling of thankfulness for all the return missionaries who have served around the world,” Elder Yamashita said.
He reflected on his own conversion experience and the influence the missionaries who taught him had on his life.
“I am sure that those you helped convert have not forgotten you,” Elder Yamashita said. “I am one of those converts.”

He spoke of the sincere love he felt for the elder who confirmed him, during the confirmation.
“Even today I can clearly remember that scene,” Elder Yamashita said. “Through the Holy Spirit I gained a sure knowledge that Elder Lloyd loved us and that God loved us.”
Elder Yamashita said all missionaries need a desire to preach the gospel, a testimony, and love for others as they serve their missions. He finished by speaking to return missionaries.
“I am truly thankful for all your efforts. You are a treasure of this Church. And may you always continue to be missionaries and act like disciples of Christ,” Elder Yamashita said.
