Letter: Exemplify Honor Code

127

As I sit studying in the Wilkinson Center, I have enjoyed listening to people perform on the piano in the commons.

However, one group was not impressive, mostly because of the message: the NSO group rehearsing “That’s Against the Honor Code.”

Here’s my request: instead of focusing on what not to do, why don’t we focus on what to do in the Honor Code.

It seems by focusing on the not, we only bring it to mind.

Rather, can we bring to mind the things the Honor Code wants us to exemplify: honesty, integrity and charity.

Let’s idealize these virtues in song instead of vilify the negatives.
