    The Orchestra and Chorus of Sandy City: 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Sandy Amphitheater, 9400 S. 1300 East, Sandy. Directed by Joel Rosenberg, the orchestra starts the summer with a melodic bang. Admission is free. For more information, call 568-ARTS or visit sandy.utah.gov.

    “Happiness is Possible in Africa”: Noon Wednesday in 238 HRCB. A Global Awareness Lecture by Senegalese writer Aminata Sow Fall. Admission is free.

    Best Practices in Education Law: 1-5:30 p.m. Thursday, 115 David O. McKay Building. Hosted by the students of the McKay School Leadership Preparation Graduate Program, the program features 15 presentations focusing on future educators’ understanding the impact of law and legal issues on the classroom. Everyone is welcome to attend.

    Theater & Cinema

    Sundance Institute Documentary Film Series: 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Jim Santy Auditorium, 1255 Park Ave, Park City. Showing “Black Gold” this month, the Film Series offers free, monthly screenings of films from the previous Sundance Film Festival. For more information visit sundance.org or call (435) 658-3456.

    “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”: 7:30 p.m. now through June 16 in the Pardoe Theater, HFAC. Tickets are $12 for general admission, or $7 on weeknights and $8 weekends with BYU or student ID. Tickets can be purchased at the HFAC Ticket Office or by calling 422-7664.

    Utah Family Film Festival: Thursday through Saturday at the University Mall cinema, shows start at noon and last show is around 9 p.m. Enrich this summer with wholesome movies! The Family Film Festival is “dedicated to featuring award-winning, family friendly films.” Tickets are $5 for adults and$3 for children. For every 10 tickets bought as a group, receive two free.

    BYU Activities

    “Mindful Meditation Group”: 3-5 p.m. Wednesday and June 13, 3252 WSC. While promoting relaxation and balance, the group is “designed to help women become more aware of their inner selves.” Admission is free. For more information call 422-4877.

    BYU Jeopardy: 7 p.m. Wednesday, Traditions Lounge, WSC. Hosted by the BYU Student Activity Board, BYU Jeopardy tests knowledge and offers prizes. Admission is free.
