Students don”t need to stay home playing a game of twister or watching Brian Regan in order to get a good laugh this weekend.

On Friday and Saturday, (March 23-24) at 8 p.m.,Brand X Comedy group will perform in Rom 205 of the J. Reuben Clark Lw School for free.

This sketch comedy group – members who write their own material and perform it in front of a crowd – will feature past members who have gone on to other comedic programs.

“We never disappoint,” said Ami Frost, a graduate student in marriage and family therapy from Edmond, Okla., and president of Brand X comedy. “We are cheaper than other groups with a goal to appeal to a wide range of audiences.”

Brady Toone, a junior from Orem studying public relations, is the vice-president over clubs at BYU and has attended several of the group”s shows.

“Everything they do is funny,” Toone said. “There are a few sketches in every show that leave people rolling on the floor because they are so humorous.”

Brand X will hold auditions for members soon and encourage students to watch for posters advertising those dates.

This weekend”s show promises to bring lots of laughs and random moments that audiences are sure to enjoy, Frost said.

“If you laugh together on a date, you are much more attractive!” she said.
