Summer comes full swing with the arrival of the 2006 Utah County Fair.
The highlight of this year”s fair will challenge local residents to a double dare in the classic Nickelodeon manner of games with foolish antics.
Silliness won”t be just for kids. Competitions for all ages range from digging through whipped cream without hands in search of a piece of bubblegum to plucking ice cubes out of a pool with your toes. There are even some traditional but quirky relay races.
But beyond all the dares one can take, entertainment spreads out with talent contests and the Miss Utah County pageant, BMX bike shows, a bit of theatre and magic, and bands including a few LDS musicians – all topped off with fireworks each night.
Yet all traditional allures of a carnival fair will be present. The rides. The food. The booths.
