Brad Neiger, chair of the Department of Health Science, will speak on “To Act in Holiness before the Lord,” at today”s Devotional in the Marriott Center, Apr. 4, 2006.
Neiger previously served as director of health promotion at the Davis County Health Department and director of the Bureau of Health Promotion at the Utah Department of Health.
Neiger was also president of both the Utah Public Health Association and the Health Education Association of Utah. In 2003, he received the Catherine Summerhays Award as the outstanding health educator in Utah.
Neiger received his master”s from BYU in health science and his Ph.D. from the University of Utah in community health education/marketing.
His research interests are the use of social marketing to improve public health delivery and practice and diabetes prevention and control. He has had many peer-reviewed journals and publications and has also done numerous presentations on these topics in his field.
