Doctor’s deny reports of Arafat’s death

Conflicting reports surfaced Thursday over the health of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

Luxembourg?s prime minister told reporters that Arafat died in a French hospital. However, Arafat?s doctors said the leader is still alive, The Associated Press reported.

This news comes hours before the last series of rumors reporting Arafat fell into a coma, according to The Associated Press.

French television station LCI quoted a French medical official who confirmed Arafat?s coma condition. The medical official said Arafat is in an ?irreversible coma? and has tubes down his lungs to help with breathing.

But other Palestinian officials disagree with reports of Arafat?s condition, saying the Palestinian leader is fine, The Associated Press reported.
