A BYU graduate was killed in a tragic car accident on Saturday while cycling up Big Cottonwood Canyon in Salt Lake City.
Josie Irene Borg Johnson graduated from BYU in 2003 with a B.S. degree in nutrition and food science. At the time of her death, Josie was a PhD candidate at the University of Utah in biochemistry with an emphasis on heart disease.
Memorial services will be held tonight from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the Larkin Sunset Gardens on 1950 E. 10600 South in Sandy. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday,at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at 4780 Lincoln Ave., Oakland. A viewing at 11:00 a.m. will precede the funeral.
