    Ten things you really don”t care to hear about. It”s not funny, so don”t plan on it.

    10. A sports writer in Vegas said the Super Bowl halftime show was the best he”s ever seen. According to reports, the sports writer is a 17-year-old high school student that has three Justin Timberlake albums. Reports are sketchy.

    9. Jeff Mosteller, a junior whose wife forced him to play this year, scored 11 points and picked up eight rebounds in his intramural game on Thursday night. His team won on a last-second shot, 54-40.

    8. Provo High School is probably holding tryouts for their soccer team within the next month or so. They only lost two games last year.

    7. Some kid from Hurricane set a record for the mile run at his junior high this past week. His parents were so proud.

    6. Murray native and Indiana Pacer forward Scot Pollard had one rebound, one steal and two fouls in 10 minutes of play against the Lakers. He”s averaging 1.6 ppg.

    5. In other NBA news, Jazz center Greg Ostertag was left off the All-Star squad for the ninth time in nine years.

    4. Nathan Allred, a UVSC student and avid soccer player, was called for a foul in his indoor soccer game Monday night though he claims he didn”t “touch the kid.” The foul was the sixth for his team, resulting in a penalty shot for the opposing team.

    3. A recent study shows that 90 percent of intramural participants truly are washed-up high school players that want one more chance under the spotlight.

    2. Only three teams in the NBA have team names that are not plural (Example: New York Knicks. Knicks is plural). Can you guess them?

    1. Warning, this is a very vague generalization: LDS Church basketball is still very violent. Recent studies have compared church ball with BYU intramural basketball, but the results have indicated a very low correlation.
