Majority definition skewed

    113

Mr. James Wammack seems to think that the 60,000,000 people who have registered for the “Do Not Call” list represent a majority of the citizens of the US.

However, the US population is currently about 285,422,000, which means 60,000,000 people are about 21% or 1/5 of the total population. Not only is that not “overwhelming demand”, as Mr. Wammack asserts, but, since 79% of the people have chosen NOT to sign up for the list, I would say the overwhelming majority of the citizens would prefer NOT to have the list, in spite of their legislators.
