Wendi L. Edwards juggles more than just the normal responsibilities of a mother of eight.

She wrote and published “Millennial Glory Hidden Light,” the first novel of a science fiction literature series, released in 2001.

“It”s amazing,” Brittany Edwards said about her mother”s accomplishments. Brittany, 14, is the second of Wendi Edwards”s eight children.

Brittany Edwards has read her mom”s book two times already.

“It has made me want to write more and sometimes I go overboard with school papers,” she said.

Wendi Edwards believes families are very important and mothers have the responsibility to nurture and teach the children.

“The book is an augment of our family history,” she said. “All the characters are named after my children…in the future, about five years.”

Wendi Edwards”s literature has influenced her readers” views on the importance of strong family relationships.

“The relationship within the family inspired me to appreciate my children,” said Wende Howes, who recently read “Millennial Glory Hidden Light.”

The inspiration Wendi Edwards”s writings have on others is so important to her that she sets a portion of her daily routine to write.

“I have a certain amount of time everyday; I write from nine in the morning to 12 or 1pm,” she said.

Sometimes she has to write with her two youngest children on her lap.

“They know that”s my time to write and they know after that I put it away and I”m there for them,” she said.

The Edwards family were all able to contribute to the publishing of the science fiction novel.

“In our home we have divided up everything among all the family members,” the author and mother said.

“It”s a family effort to publish a book,” Brittany Edwards said. She watched her younger siblings while her mom wrote and worked on other details for the book.

There are many details in “Millennial Glory Hidden Light” too. The novel is about the prophecies of the signs of the times for the last days.

The author included 300 references to, “…show through scriptural and prophetic sources just how I received my ideas and that interpretation of scripture was not a liberty that I was taking,” Wendi Edwards said.

Another detail that needed to be worked out was getting the book published independently.

“My husband and I created a company called Seventh Seal Publishing for the sole purpose of publishing this series,” she said. “Because I did that we were able to keep our copy right and we didn”t have to share advertising with anyone.”

Edwards hopes to publish the second book to the series by August 2003.
