Help out with the United Way of Utah County

    93

A variety of programs through United Way allow volunteers to help out wherever they feel best-suited.

Vistacare is dedicated to helping terminally ill patients. In this program, a volunteer adopts a patient and helps with yard work, shopping, and other tasks that the patient may not be able to do alone.

Project Read has been teaching illiterate adults how to read and write for over fifteen years.

Welcome Baby Home visitors teach new parents how to care for their newborn babies.

Vistacare, Project Read, and Welcome Baby Home are only a few of the opportunities offered through United Way. Other programs focusing on helping the elderly, working with preschoolers, and aiding with youth correction are a few more of the nearly-endless opportunitites available.

According to the United Way of Utah County website, “United Way’s strength comes from its united approach, which allows us to better serve our community in ways none of us could accomplish alone.”
