BYU to host seventh annual Management Conference

    Successful leadership in organizations, communities and families is this year”s theme for the Marriott School”s seventh annual Management Conference which starts June 27.

    Attendees will hear from an array of speakers including opening keynote speaker Bernard Daines, “father of the broadband” and member of Newsweek”s 1997 edition of “100 people to watch in America.” Chief Operating Officer, Salt Lake Organizing Committee Fraser Bulloch will also be speaking.

    Idon Openshaw, Special Events Coordinator of the Marriott School, said the conference is unique because it teaches career building and professionalism in a principle-based environment.

    This year”s conference, ending Saturday with the optional golf tournament at Thanksgiving Point, will be showcasing e-business and related technology.

    Children over six can also attend the conference with their parents. There will be variety of activities offered, including a play day at Seven Peaks Water Park. They will also hear from some of the best EFY speakers and 2000 Olympic silver medalist Courtney Johnson

    The Conference itself culminates tomorrow on a spiritual note with an address from Elder Christofferson, member of the First Quorum of the Seventy.
