Cougars have big night in the ‘city of lights’

    With their 69-65 win over New Mexico the Cougars took the decision out the NCAA committees” hands tonight, March 10 and made sure they would be in the big dance.

    This is the first time that BYU”s men”s b-ball team has been to the NCAA tournament since 1995 and the first time they have won the conference title since 1992.

    Mekeli Wesley led the Cougars with 30 points and was 11 for 12 in field goals. Wesley was named Mountain West Conference player of the tournament.

    “It”s good team we”ve got here,” Wesley said in an interview with channel four”s Tom Kirkland.
