The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is ushering in the Christmas season with the annual Christmas devotional.

The First Presidency of the LDS Church is inviting church members everywhere to share a Christmas message celebrating the Savior’s birth.

Kim Farah, public affairs spokesperson for the LDS Church, said the First Presidency will be sharing messages with a Christmas theme.

There will also be musical numbers performed by the Tabernacle Choir accompanied by the orchestra at Temple Square, Farah said.

This is the first time the Christmas devotional will be held in the newly dedicated Conference Center, Farah said.

Admission to the Conference Center is by ticket only.

The devotional will be broadcast live over the church satellite network at 6 p.m. MST.

KBYUFM and BYU-TV will carry the devotional live on Dish Network channel 9403.

The devotional will be rebroadcast at 8 p.m. MST, by KBYU-TV.
