Jourdan Carson of Pleasant Grove died Thursday, Oct. 12, while playing on her barn roof with her older sister.
Utah State Medical Examiners said the death was accidental.
The 7-year-old fell through a Fiberglas, corrugated skylight after stepping on it, Capt. Cody Cullimore of Pleasant Grove police said.
She landed on the concrete floor 12 feet below. A neighbor preformed CPR before she was taken to the American Fork Hospital, Cullimore said.
“The roof is made of corrugated metal and every third panel is made of Fiberglas. She stepped on the Fiberglas part and fell through,” Cullimore said.
Carson was the youngest of five children in the family who live at 810 E. Orchard Dr.
The accident happened at 4:45 p.m. Thursday, Cullimore said.
The funeral is being planned for the first part of the week of Oct. 16, Cullimore said.
