Dear Editor,
I’m a sophomore here at BYU, but I am enrolled in Bio 100 and Stats 221. I know these are those fun General Education classes that everybody usually takes straight out of high school, but come on. I would venture to say that they are easier than high school.
Every lecture the teacher says three or four times, “Pay attention to this part — it’s on the test,” basically giving us test answers. In the labs, we do the homework questions with the TAs. These classes are busy work. Maybe I shouldn’t complain because the A’s WILL help my GPA, but I’ve taken challenging classes at BYU, and I expect more. Well, I would have gotten A’s, but probably not after this letter!
