Letter to the Editor: Fans don’t affect football team

    68

    Dear Editor,

What concerns me most is that people think that the fans have something to do with the performance of the football team. They don’t! It is pure talent! If the players get distracted by the fans, they shouldn’t be on the field because they are not fit to play in front of crowds. Take, for example, the Virginia game. We probably had a few hundred Cougar fans there, and we came from behind to win. Football games are cultural events and should be enjoyed by all — so LET THE PEOPLE WAVE. Can’t you see the people want to do the WAVE?
