The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the schedule of public tours for the church’s newly completed Oklahoma City Oklahoma Temple.

According to the LDS Church’s public affairs department, tours will begin July 15 and will conclude July 22. The tours come as a predecessor to the temple’s dedication July 30.

Tours will be available from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., said LDS Church Public Affairs.

Tours will not be held on Sunday, July 16, and tours the following Monday will end at 5 p.m. in order for church members to spend time with their families.

Church Public Affairs said the temple will serve approximately 44,000 Latter-day Saints.

Kim Farah with the Church Public Affairs said VIP tours will be given during the two days prior to tours for the general public.

Religious leaders from other faiths, government leaders and contractors that worked on the temple are among those who participate in VIP tours, Farah said.

The temple will be dedicated July 30, becoming the 95th LDS Church temple worldwide, said Church Public Affairs.

A cornerstone ceremony, also open to the public, will be July 30 at 9 a.m.
