Dear Editor,
As I have ridden my bike to school and walked to work lately, I have noticed water gushing across the road and down the gutter. The grounds crew has been watering the lawns and vegetation on campus to the point of wanton excess. We must realize that Utah has a semi-arid climate, and that water is a precious resource. These past winter and spring have turned out exceptionally dry, so the university ought to act accordingly and conserve water. By running the sprinklers in the night, and only as long as necessary, we can preserve this valuable commodity and save some money, too.
