Provo Police released the name of a Provo woman, who was killed the morning of June 11 in what is believe was an accidental shooting.
Christina Galbraith, 19 was shot in the neck just before 2 a.m. She was taken to Utah Valley Regional Medical Center where she died a short time later, said Provo Police Captain Keith Teuscher.
Galbraith, her sister, her mother and her brother-in-law were in an apartment at 116 S. 700 E. looking at and handling a .380-caliber semiautomatic handgun, Teuscher said.
Jose Robinson, Galbraith’s brother-in-law, was inserting and removing the gun’s magazine when the gun discharged, hitting Christina in the neck.
The case is under further investigation.
